Welcome,
Re: Internet Crisis Communications: What Should We Do?
by Steve O'Keefe
Patricia, I, for one, am awed by this presentation. You have covered the Kryptonite case in a way far superior to any summaries I have previously seen. And you tied it in nicely with the IAOC Conference and the work we've been doing to advance online communications techniques. No one can fully prepare for a crisis. You can plan, as you have illustrated, but when that day arrives, we're all caught a little unprepared. If you have determined in advance to "do the right thing" and take the high road of honesty and transparency with crisis PR, then you'll be able to quickly adapt to the situation. One of the strongest messages I took away from your week on the blog was the need to *practice* things like using blogs, using file attachments, uploading images and video. Do you feel that participating in IAOCblog.com has helped with your ability to use technology to distribute communications? We thank you and we encourage others to practice blogging right here by participating in "This Week on IAOCblog.com" STEVE O'KEEFE V.P., IAOC
