Paolo Thanks for your post, it relates a clear application of RSS in marketing that clearly worked in the travel world and can be extended to other industries. A question and comment, was it hard to get at the usage stats you cited? Did any other info result that was useful in your marketing efforts, for example more info about who these people are that are hitting the feed (my understanding is that, much like other Web site traffiic, the current state of the art does not allow you to identify individual users unless they register of course). Also, to your point about search engines, the mainstream ones are increasingly indexing blog and RSS content, and specialty searchy engines such as feedster.com, pubsub, and feedsfarm.com are emerging that make their search results available as RSS feeds.
