Welcome,
Re: Blogging Europe Day 1: Blogs and Journalism
by Anonymous
I think there is a fundamental difference in the way nanopublishing companies such as ours (socialmedia group) approach the "media". As far as we are concerned, blogs are just a very efficient way of publishing, both from an editorial and technical standpoint. It allows us to have contributors publishing remotely (as far as Japan on Le blog auto) and instantaneously, whether using the platform or directly through moblogging. Technically, bogs are great in the way they are built and referenced by the major search engines. The whole platform gives us an enormous amount of freedom and promotes cost efficient publishing. It is a different approach fr'om traditional media in the way that information tends to be filtered by readers instead of a standard publishing process. But all in all there's nothing preventing bloggers from doing a professional job, as good and thorough for some of them as many journalists from the traditional media.
